HR & Payroll Assistant - Fermanagh

Overview

We're seeking a proactive and organised HR & Payroll Assistant to join a leading manufacturing company operating across Ireland and the UK.

Known for its innovation, sustainability, and people-first values, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing organisation supporting both HR operations and payroll for a large, multi-site workforce. This role is initially offered on a temporary contract of up to 6 months, with a strong possibility of extension.

The Role

As HR & Payroll Assistant, you'll support the HR function while assisting in the accurate and timely processing of payroll. You'll play a key role in maintaining employee data, supporting compliance, and ensuring smooth and efficient HR and payroll processes, contributing to a culture of trust, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day HR support to managers and employees
  • Maintain accurate employee data within the HRIS
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and contract documentation
  • Support absence, disciplinary, and grievance processes
  • Manage training records and the company training matrix
  • Complete HR reporting and support compliance requirements
  • Assist with payroll processing, including data validation and reporting
  • Respond to payroll queries and support payroll administration
  • Administer time & attendance, benefits, and employee records

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in an HR assistant or payroll support role
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle confidential information with integrity
  • Confident using HR and payroll systems
  • Good understanding of employment law and payroll processes
  • Relevant qualification in HR, Business, Finance or related discipline
  • IT proficient with strong Excel skills
