Vacancy Title: Fullstack Engineer, Portfolio Management - Leading London Based Hedge Fund

Overview:

I am thrilled to continue a partnership with a excellent tech-first client of mine, one of London's top Hedge Funds. They are seeking an experienced Fullstack Developer for a brand new project. My client have created a new platform integrating various portfolio management systems. This platform combines TypeScript/React front-end with C#/gRPC back-end. Essential for daily use by Traders and Analysts. They are now turning their focus to rapid feature expansion, as well as development and design of other new systems.

Role Responsibilities:

• Designing and building new systems from the ground up.
• Improving performance and increasing scalability of these systems.
• Continuously learning the latest technologies
• Incorporating innovative technologies into other internal systems.
• Actively participating and providing insights in System Architecture Design meetings.

Requirements:

Essential

• Exceptional OOP skills, C#/.NET preferred
• Financial Domain Knowledge (Equities, Fixed Income, FX or trading beneficial)
• Distributed Systems experience
• SQL experience vital
• Experience with Web technologies: React/Vue/Angular preferred
• Can pick up new systems with ease
• Understanding of computing fundamentals

Desirable

• Previous Hedge Fund experience
• Microservices and knowledge about upstream/downstream data
• Container tech (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with dbt, Snowflake, Airflow
• Experience with Java, Python or Scala
• Kafka/Rabbit or another open source messaging system
