MCS Group are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a leading Grammar school in Newry as they seek to recruit a Finance Manager to join to join their team.

The Organisation:

Our client is well-known Grammar school in the Newry area. The school was founded over 130 years ago and has built up strong links with the communities and primary schools in the surrounding areas. They have a close-knit and long-standing team and are now seeking to recruit a Finance Manager due to retirement in the team.

The Role:

As the successful Finance Manager, you will report directly to the Principle and will be responsible for the following duties:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Overseeing the payroll function
• Managing budgets and cashflow
• Preparation of year-end financial statements
• Overseeing the annual internal and external audit process
• Form part of the Senior Leadership team, advising on strategy
• Lead and manage the school support staff
• Other duties as outlined in the full job description

The Person:

The successful Finance Manager will meet the following criteria:

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
• Open to industry, not-for-profit or public sector background
• Experience in managing people

The Rewards:

As the successful Finance Manager you will receive the following:

• Salary of between £51,515 - £57,559
• 19% employer contribution pension
• 36.25 hours per week with flexibility
• Hybrid working
• 31 days annual leave plus statutory holidays
• On-site car parking
