DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer -Day Rate Contract
Dublin City Centre (2-3 days p/w)
Initial 6 months - extension likely

We are working with a leading banking client based in Dublin city centre who are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join their technology team on a day-rate contract. This is a critical role supporting the build, deployment, and operation of highly secure, scalable systems within a regulated financial environment.
You will work closely with development, security, and infrastructure teams to improve CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, and automation capabilities while ensuring stability, performance, and compliance.

The Role:

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Support and improve cloud-based platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment and release processes
• Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability
• Implement security best practices in line with banking and regulatory standards
• Troubleshoot production issues and support incident resolution

Requirements:

• Strong experience as a DevOps Engineer in enterprise environments
• Proven background with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, etc.)
• Containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong Linux experience
• Scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.)
• Experience working in regulated or financial services environments is highly desirable
