Data Engineer / Data Scientist (AI/ML)

MCS Group are delighted to be working with a scaling, product-led tech company building data-driven solutions used by enterprise customers globally.

They're growing out a high-impact data function focused on turning complex data into meaningful insights, improving products, and enabling better decision-making across the business.

The Role

This is a hands-on position where you'll work across data engineering, analytics, and machine learning.

You'll be involved in everything from building data pipelines to developing models and delivering insights, with real ownership and visibility across the organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

• Building and optimising data pipelines and workflows
• Analysing large datasets to uncover insights and trends
• Working on ML/AI use cases to improve products and processes
• Collaborating with engineering and product teams
• Contributing to data architecture and tooling decisions
• Exploring new technologies to enhance data capabilities

What They're Looking For

• Experience in data engineering, data science, or a similar field
• Strong programming skills (Python or similar)
• Good understanding of data modelling and databases
• Experience working with modern data tools / platforms
• Exposure to machine learning or advanced analytics
• Someone comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms
• Exposure to AI / LLM tools
• Knowledge of data visualisation tools
• Experience working with scalable systems or distributed data
