Company Accountant

The Role will consist of:

• Efficient and Confidential Financial Services: Ensure financial services are delivered efficiently, effectively, and confidentially.
• Capital Accounting Responsibilities: Oversee capital accounting services, including capital budgeting, report writing, fixed asset accounting, and supporting project management.
• Strategic Capital Accounting Management: Manage strategic capital accounting information and prepare capital budgets with associated prudential capital financing responsibilities.
• Fixed Asset Management: Maintain Fixed Asset Register, supervise Service Asset Registers, and conduct periodic physical verification of assets.
• Treasury Management: Manage the treasury function and liaise with statutory, regulatory, and professional bodies.
• Financial Systems Improvement: Develop and improve financial systems, provide professional financial advice, and maintain ledger accounts.
• Support Performance and Efficiency Initiatives: Assist in performance, efficiency, and transformation initiatives, maintain policies and procedures, and support financial operations as needed.

The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

• A professional accountancy qualification
• At least 1 years' relevant capital accounting experience
• At least 1 years' experience providing professional financial advice
• At least 1 years' experience of fixed assets accounting
• At least 1 years' experience of managing a treasury function

Desirable:

• Spread sheet qualification
• At least 6 months experience supervising/managing a team
• Experience in a finance setting working with an organisational budget of £5M
