Capacity Market Controller

MCS Group is recruiting a Capacity Market Controller to join our client's team, helping deliver a secure, reliable and cleaner electricity system for Northern Ireland.

As a Capacity Market Controller, you will support the day-to-day delivery of key processes within the Capacity Markets team. You'll coordinate activities, analyse information and help ensure critical market deadlines are met. Working closely with colleagues and industry stakeholders, you'll play an important role in keeping processes running smoothly while gaining valuable experience in the energy sector.

• Support Capacity Market registration, qualification and reporting processes
• Respond to stakeholder queries and maintain clear communication
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Coordinate activities, meetings and follow-up actions with external groups
• Provide updates and reporting to senior team members
• Help onboard and support training for team colleagues
• Work collaboratively across teams to deliver tasks accurately and on time

The successful candidate:

• Degree in Engineering, Business, IT, Finance or similar
• Typically 1-2 years' relevant experience
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong attention to detail with good analytical and numeracy ability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work to deadlines in a collaborative team environment

Desirable:

• Experience in the energy or power systems sector
• Engineering background
• Experience presenting to groups or stakeholders
