Job Description
The Role will consist of:
- Support Senior Buyer: Assist with high-value tenders and independently manage lower-value tenders and mini competitions.
- Sustainable Procurement: Aid in sustainable procurement services, monitor low-risk suppliers, and support procurement strategy.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage expectations, reduce duplication, and streamline processes.
- Supplier Management: Oversee supplier performance, maintain key relationships, and communicate requirements.
- Legal Compliance: Ensure tendering and contract awards comply with legal requirements and manage risks.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to financial regulations and equality legislation.
- Procurement Advice: Provide advice, assistance, and training on procurement systems and processes.
The Person
As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:
- At least a years' experience as a buyer/within procurement
Desirable:
- A CIPS qualification
- A degree within procurement/ a relevant area
- Experience within public procurement
