Buyer

The Role will consist of:

• Support Senior Buyer: Assist with high-value tenders and independently manage lower-value tenders and mini competitions.
• Sustainable Procurement: Aid in sustainable procurement services, monitor low-risk suppliers, and support procurement strategy.
• Stakeholder Management: Manage expectations, reduce duplication, and streamline processes.
• Supplier Management: Oversee supplier performance, maintain key relationships, and communicate requirements.
• Legal Compliance: Ensure tendering and contract awards comply with legal requirements and manage risks.
• Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to financial regulations and equality legislation.
• Procurement Advice: Provide advice, assistance, and training on procurement systems and processes.

The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

• At least a years' experience as a buyer/within procurement

Desirable:

• A CIPS qualification
• A degree within procurement/ a relevant area
• Experience within public procurement
