MCS Group is proud to be exclusively partnering with a non-for-profit organisation, located in Belfast, to recruit for an Assistant Accountant.

The Company:

Our client are a non-for-profit based in Belfast. They have 500 people across the whole organisation. They work across NI & ROI but this role will be based in NI. They work with several care homes throughout NI. They are looking for an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join their growing Belfast finance function.

The Rewards:

As the successful Assistant Accountant, you will receive the following:

• £28,500 - £33,000

The Role:

As the successful Assistant Accountant, you will report directly to the Finance Manager and will be responsible for the following:

• Preparation of management and annual accounts
• To prepare or assist in the preparation of annual budgets/forecasts
• To carry out control account reconciliations and account analysis
• To contribute to the development of accounting systems
• Account reconciliation
• Assist auditors with queries
• VAT returns
• Maintain cash book

The Person:

The successful Assistant Accountant will meet the following criteria:

• Part-Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA;
• Previous experience in a related role
• Previous experience using excel or equivalent
• Hold a valid UK driver's license
