Are you a qualified accounting professional with strong financial management experience? We are seeking an Accountant to support the effective management of financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with financial regulations, and the delivery of high-quality financial information to support organisational decision-making.
The role:
- Manage and maintain the computerised financial accounting system, ensuring accurate data entry, processing, and reporting.
- Maintain project accounting records and raise purchase orders in line with financial policies and procedures.
- Support budget monitoring, including month-end processes and preparation of year-end accounts within deadlines.
- Prepare monthly VAT returns, bank reconciliations, and other control account reconciliations.
- Process financial transactions such as receipts, bank transfers, e-banking payments, and authorised online purchases.
- Prepare financial reports, forecasts, grant claims, and submissions to meet internal and external reporting requirements.
- Support payroll administration, pension and regulatory returns, asset register maintenance, audit requirements, and proper financial record management.
The Person
As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:
Essential:
- Full, current membership of a recognised professional accounting body (or an equivalent European/international qualification) following successful completion of final professional examinations.
- Relevant post accountancy qualification experience in financial management, management accounting or financial accounting.
- Competent in the use of IT systems to include Microsoft Word and Excel.
