Matthew Hamill

Matthew joined MCS Group in April 2025 as a Specialist Recruitment Consultant within the Technology team. In his role, he works closely with both IT professionals and hiring organisations, helping connect high-quality talent with innovative companies. Day-to-day, Matthew supports clients with strategic hiring while guiding candidates through opportunities that align with their skills, goals, and career development.

Matthew specialises in the IT market, with a particular focus on Cloud, QA, and Design. He regularly works with organisations hiring for roles such as DevOps Engineers, Site Reliability Engineers (SRE), Cloud and Platform Engineers, QA Engineers (both automation and manual), and UX/Product Designers.

Matthew is the internal lead at MCS for the Belfast Design Meetups, hosted monthly in the MCS office. These events have helped grow one of the largest UX communities in Northern Ireland, bringing together designers to share ideas, insights, and experiences from across the industry.

Before joining MCS Group, Matthew studied History at UCL, where he specialised in Irish history in the early 20th century. He also gained valuable professional experience working in hospitality, developing strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Outside of work, Matthew enjoys following a range of sports, playing music, and travelling.
