UI Designer

MCS Group is working with one of their closest clients in their search for a talented UI Designer. You'll play a key role in designing intuitive, engaging web applications and websites - from discovery through to design. You'll work closely with clients, helping shape their ideas into user-friendly digital products with a specific focus on using Figma.

This is a hybrid role in Belfast city centre.

The Role

• The Designer will lead and contribute to the design of web apps and websites from concept through to handoff.
• You'll collaborate directly with clients and stakeholders (from multiple industries) to understand user needs and business goals.
• You'll create user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes in Figma
• You'll conduct design reviews, iterate based on feedback, and maintain consistent visual design standards
• You'll work closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of your designs
• You'll mentor 2 junior designers
• Help evolve and maintain design systems and component libraries

What We're Looking For:

• You'll have commercial experience in User Interface design
• You'll have a strong portfolio of web apps and responsive website designs
• You'll be proficient in Figma (including components, auto-layout, and prototyping)
• You'll have strong communication skills and be comfortable working directly with clients and presenting design rationale
• A strong understanding of user-centered design principles

Nice to Have:

• Experience with basic user research or usability testing
• Experience in mentoring other designers

Salary - up to £50,000 plus benefits
