The Person:

The successful UK Tax Accountant will meet the following criteria:

• Accountacy Qualification (ACA/ACCA/CTA)

• Experienced in the preparation of UK tax computations.

• Strong analytical and numeracy skills with an ability to focus on detail.

• Strong IT skills

• Ability to analyse complex technical tax matters and provide clear and accurate advice.

• Experience of submitting corporate and partnership tax returns online using tax software packages.

• The ability to work and communicate clearly with corresponding teams and stakeholders.

• The ability to communicate complex tax and accounting issues both orally and in writing to non-specialists.

• Knowledge of tax issues affecting professional partnerships.

The Role:

As the successful UK Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Preparation of Partnership tax computations

• Preparation of UK tax computations for various other UK and non-UK Partnerships and timely submission of tax returns.

• Preparation of corporate tax returns.

• Key role in year-end closing process, including assisting in the preparation of Deferred Tax calculations.

• Assisting in the tax accounting.

• Completion of quarterly VAT returns - including partial exemption calculations where applicable.

• Advising partners and finance teams on complex VAT matters.

• Involvement in ad hoc projects, e.g. tax digitalisation, employment tax aspects, process improvements etc.

• Assisting in the release cycles for partner tax reserves.
