Technical Support Specialist
Location: Belfast (Hybrid, 3 days in office)
Salary: Up to £30,000

A fast-growing renewable energy scale-up is developing real-time energy trading and optimisation systems that help renewable producers and traders maximise efficiency and profitability.

Their flagship AI-driven platform powers smart trading decisions across the European energy market, supporting clients across the UK, Germany, and beyond. With around 30 people (and growing), they're building a collaborative, people-first culture from their base in Belfast.


The Role

This is a first-line Technical Support role within the Operations team, supporting the company's innovative AI trading platform.

You'll act as the crucial link between customers and technical teams, managing incoming support issues, ensuring effective resolutions, and delivering an outstanding client experience.

You don't need deep technical expertise - but you do need to be tech-savvy, proactive, and confident communicating directly with customers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support for customers using the trading platform.

  • Log, track, and follow up on customer issues from start to resolution.

  • Escalate complex issues to technical teams and ensure timely outcomes.

  • Collaborate with the Service Delivery Manager to strengthen and scale the support function.

  • Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth issue management.

  • Take initiative, prioritise effectively, and help shape best practices for support operations.


What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a technical support or customer-facing IT role.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills - professional, calm, and solutions-oriented.

  • Technically aware - full training will be provided.

  • Adaptable, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.

  • No degree required. experience and attitude matter most.


Working Environment

  • Hours: 9am-5pm, with occasional on-call or bank holiday cover (rare).

  • Hybrid: In the Belfast office Tuesday to Thursday (core in-office days).

  • Culture: Collaborative, people-first, and growth-oriented.
