Contract: Permanent, full-time
Salary: £50-60K (DOE)

MCS Group is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading food manufacturer for a Technical Manager to oversee the Technical and Hygiene departments. This senior role ensures all products meet legal and customer standards, while leading food safety, quality systems, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage site food safety, quality systems (HACCP, TACCP, VACCP) and hygiene compliance
• Lead third-party and customer audits
• Investigate and respond to complaints and quality issues
• Train, lead, and develop technical and hygiene teams
• Maintain accurate records, KPIs, and cost-effective supplier relationships
• Drive continuous improvement and uphold GMP and safety standards

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar technical leadership role in food manufacturing
• Strong audit, compliance, and food safety knowledge
• HACCP and audit management qualifications/experience
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
