Title: Technical Engineer

Job Description:

As a Project Engineer your role is pivotal in implementing new engineering plant and infrastructure within the rail sector. You'll assist Project Managers by providing project updates, overseeing vehicle build processes, conducting quality audits and factory acceptance tests at supplier premises, managing the testing and commissioning of new rail infrastructure plant, and supervising on-site contractors for plant-specific projects. Additionally, you'll manage small-scale plant projects across Major Programmes from start to finish.

Essential Criteria:

• HNC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in rail/bus engineering, heavy construction equipment, or industrial plant industry.
• Possession of a full driving licence with access to a vehicle.

Desirable Criteria:

• Possession of a HND or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Recognised Project Management qualification.
• Previous Project Management experience.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar software.
• Experience using MS Project.
