Technical Business Analyst

MCS Group are working with a global financial services company expanding their Belfast operations. As a Technical Business Analyst, you'll act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, turning complex requirements into clear, actionable solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to join a greenfield expansion project with a major global player.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritise business and technical requirements, particularly within trading and compliance.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications, data mappings, and process flows.
• Collaborate with other IT professionals within the company to ensure smooth delivery.
• Analyse existing systems and processes to identify improvements and efficiencies.
• Support solution design, testing, and implementation phases.
• Create and maintain documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

The Ideal Person

• Strong experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Analyst, ideally within financial services, trading, or compliance environments.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills - able to translate complex requirements into actionable solutions.
• Solid understanding of trade lifecycle, financial data flows, and compliance processes.
• Broad technical literacy - comfortable working with databases, APIs, system integrations, and data mapping.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams, using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge business and technology teams.

Salary - Up to £70,000
