Support Technician

MCS Group is working with a renowned health-care and manufacturing organisation as they look for a Support Technician to join them on a 12 month fixed term contract. This Support Technician will act as first POC for service users, and work as part of a busy Service Desk Team. As Support Technician, you will identify and triage issues across a range of hardware and software, providing an efficient and friendly service to the wider organisation.

The Role

• This role is a fixed term contract for 12 months.
• You will work to support the Information Services Team.
• You will provide both 1st and 2nd line support, and offer desktop support as required.
• This role will involve undertaking preventative measures, testing fixes, and carrying out follow up checks with users.

The Person

• This role requires prior experience in a similar role with similar support responsibilities.
• You will have a third level qualification in an IT related subject.
• A working knowledge/prior experience of Active Directory and Windows OS is required.
• You will also have solid knowledge of various MS Office products.
• Ideally you will also have worked with VDI Desktop previously.
• Also experience working with Intune and SCCM for rollout of new devices.

Salary: £29,000 p.a.
Monday - Friday 37.5 hours
shift pattern - 9:30am - 5:30 pm.
Duration: 12 month FTC
Working Model: Initially on-site
