Supplier Quality Engineer

MCS group is delighted to be exclusively recruiting an experienced Quality Engineer for the role of Lead Supplier Quality Engineer for our Lisburn based manufacturing client.

This position is immediately available and offered on a contract basis.

Our global client serves customers within the power and utilities industries worldwide with market leading and innovative technology solutions.

In this role you will:

• Ensure supply base manufacturers meet the quality standards required to ensure best quality and customer satisfaction.
• Work in a team environment with Suppliers, SQE, Sourcing, Production Quality and Engineering to develop and implement best practices that emphasise defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste and provide for continuous improvements in meeting all customer requirements.
• Investigate, evaluate and resolve supplier quality issues, conduct audits and get involved in supporting NPI's and continuous improvement projects.

The successful candidate will have:

• Technical/engineering Degree or equivalent experience gained in a Quality Engineering/Manufacturing role, with a good knowledge in applying quality and lean tools/ techniques.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications, along with understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication skills and problem solving skills, with proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
