Senior Software Engineer (Python/AI)

MCS Group are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a fast-growing, AI-led company based in Belfast. This is your chance to work at the cutting edge of applied AI, building real-world solutions powered by Large Language Models (LLMs). As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll design, prototype, and deploy scalable AI applications using the latest tools and frameworks. You'll work to turn complex concepts into production-ready solutions that make an impact across different sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and deploy LLM-powered applications using Python and modern frameworks.
• Develop intelligent agents, APIs, and secure integrations.
• Apply advanced techniques such as RAG, knowledge graphs, and vector databases.
• Work directly with clients to deliver scalable, compliant AI solutions.

The Ideal Candidate

• 3+ years' experience as a software engineer with exposure to LLM or AI-driven systems.
• Strong Python development skills and experience with frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, API-level LLM usage, and modern data pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work in agile teams.

Salary - Up to £70,000, with a leading benefits package.
