Senior Python Software Engineer (New NI Entrant!)

Having already built out an impressive team in another arm of the business in Belfast, they are now seeking motivated Senior Python Software Engineers to join their first-class tech team, playing a pivotal role in the next phase of their Belfast expansion.

What you'll be doing:

• Build and deliver key elements of a market-leading product, such as building new features, implementing APIs and working heavily with Data and Analytics functionalities
• Undertake technical leadership of projects and deliverables, acting as an individual contributor while also motivating and leading a cross-functional team
• Working closely with Product team, playing a key role in the product lifecycle, scoping and planning projects
• Coaching and mentoring junior colleagues, encouraging their development and upskilling and performing code reviews
• Ensuring delivery across the entire software delivery lifecycle, including writing, testing, deploying and maintaining your own code

Who you are:

• Strong, recent experience in software development using Python.
• Solid knowledge and previous experience using relational and non-relational databases, e.g. SQL, PostgresSQL or similar
• Strong knowledge and previous experience working with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP or Azure
• You'll have worked closely with Product teams, playing a role in the product development lifecycle
• Ideally you'll be coming from a fast-paced environment, with experience deploying code at a fast pace
• You'll have a solid understanding of software engineering best practices and testing ethos, writing, deploying and maintaining your code and performing unit testing
• A passionate coach and mentor, with a proven track record of supporting colleagues to grow and develop while leading projects from a technical standpoint
• A strong communicator, motivating your team while building relationships across cross-functional teams within the business and externally with clients
• You'll have a growth mindset, taking an open-minded approach to problems and happy to work within a fast-paced environment across multiple projects with a high level of autonomy
