Senior Product Development Buyer (Retail)

MCS Group is delighted to be working with a family ran, large Irish wholesaler of consumer goods based in Dundalk, to recruit a Senior Product Development Buyer to join their award winning team.

You will;

• Work closely with the Creative Director and executive team, strategise and develop a commercial product range plan for each of our revenue markets.
• Analyse historical sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to anticipate product needs.
• Develops a deep understanding of the customer base by going into the market place.
• Manage the buying cycle and drive maximum product profitability/gross margin within each product line.
• Using best practice processes and procedures to source products and manage supply partners.
• Identify and collaborate with supply partners to understand manufacturing strengths and negotiate favourable conditions in terms of pricing, quality standards, MOQs and payment terms.
• Maintain and manage product development timelines to meet project deadlines effectively.
• Analyse data and make recommendations that actively contribute to the building of the range framework for each season.
• Manage the product lifecycle and planning for its end of life
