Senior PMO Lead

MCS Group is thrilled to be partnering alongside a public sector client as they seek to fill a brand-new role in their Project Management Office (PMO) - a recently established function that's already playing a key part in shaping how projects are delivered across the organisation.

As Senior PMO Lead, you'll work closely with the Head of PMO and senior stakeholders to help embed, develop and continuously improve the PMO. It's a fantastic opportunity to make your mark on a growing team, influence how things are done, and support projects that really matter - from capital works and IT to climate change initiatives and business transformation.

(Hybrid 2 days office - Dublin/Leitrim/Scariff)

Responsibilities:

• Helping to shape and embed the PMO within the organisation.
• Driving best practice in project management and encouraging collaboration across teams.
• Reporting on key metrics and KPIs to senior management.
• Providing oversight across projects/programmes (scope, cost, time, risk, quality).
• Supporting project managers with guidance, training, and mentorship.
• Driving continuous improvement and helping introduce PMO systems.
• Working closely with senior management to ensure project success and alignment with strategic goals.

Requirements:

• Level 8 or higher qualification in relevant area e.g Business, IT, Management
• Senior level experience in Project/Programme/PMO management
• Project Management Certifications Essential
• Happy to be work on-site as required in Ireland (2 days per week)
• Full, clean driving licence
• Full right to work in Ireland

Salary bands begin at €71,000 with generous public sector pension and unrivalled job security.
