Senior Front End Software Engineer

Having already built out an impressive team in another leg of the business in Belfast, they are now seeking motivated Senior Front End Software Engineers to join their first-class tech team, playing a pivotal role in the next phase of their Belfast expansion.

The Role:

• Design, develop, and implement critical components of this market-leading product, including new feature creation and integration with Data and Analytics functionalities.
• Provide technical leadership for projects and deliverables, contributing individually while inspiring and guiding a skilled cross-functional team.
• Collaborate closely with the Product Design team, playing a crucial role in the product lifecycle by scoping and planning projects.
• Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering their growth and skill enhancement, and conducting code reviews.
• Oversee the complete software delivery lifecycle, ensuring the writing, testing, deployment, and maintenance of your code.

The Person:

• Strong, recent experience in software development using React
• Solid knowledge and previous experience using State Management tools such as Redux, Recoil, Hookstate etc.
• Previous experience working with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP or Azure
• Ideally you will have worked with tools and technologies such as Next.js, Browser API, advanced CSS
• You'll have worked closely with Product Design teams, interpreting Figma designs and playing a key role in the product development lifecycle and design
• Ideally you'll be coming from a fast-paced environment, with experience deploying code quickly and efficiently while maintaining high quality code standards
• You possess a thorough understanding of software engineering best practices and a strong commitment to testing principles, including writing, deploying, maintaining code, and performing unit tests.
• You are a dedicated coach and mentor with a proven history of helping colleagues grow and develop, while effectively leading projects from a technical perspective.
• You are an excellent communicator, capable of inspiring your team and fostering relationships across cross-functional teams within the organization as well as with external clients.
