Senior DevOps Engineer

MCS Group are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer for a global tech client with operations in Belfast. The candidate will design, implement, and manage large-scale, cloud-based infrastructure. You'll work with highly skilled engineers to automate, scale, and secure services that support business operations worldwide. Interviews are happening already, so applications will be closing shortly.

This is a remote-first role, with the company also having a Belfast office. Please note that you must be living in Northern Ireland to be eligible for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable, secure cloud services (AWS/GCP).
• Develop automation tools for provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
• Manage and evolve Kubernetes clusters (self-managed and cloud-native).
• Enhance infrastructure security and implement best practices.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline).
• Mentor junior engineers and drive adoption of engineering standards.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to optimise performance.

The Ideal Person

• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
• Solid knowledge of networking, security, observability, and monitoring.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and automation.
• Software development skills in at least one high-level language (Python, JavaScript, Java, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Salary - Up to £75,000, with a leading benefits package.
