Lead & Senior Security Analyst - Global Security Operations
Location: Belfast | Permanent
Our client is growing their Global Security Operations team and is seeking both Lead and Senior Security Analysts to play a critical role in defending the organisation against cyber threats.
This is more than just monitoring dashboards - you'll be at the front line of threat detection, incident response, and security enhancement, working in a fast-paced, global environment where your expertise directly impacts the organisation's resilience.
If you thrive on solving complex problems, staying ahead of the evolving threat landscape, and making a tangible difference in security posture, this is the opportunity for you.
What You'll Be Doing
As part of the Security Operations team, you'll:
Detect and defend - monitor alerts from SIEM, DLP, and threat intelligence platforms, distinguishing noise from genuine threats.
Analyze and act - investigate vulnerabilities, identify malicious activity, and recommend remediation steps.
Respond with impact - play an active role in incident response: containment, eradication, and recovery.
Shape best practice - help refine and enhance incident response procedures, bringing lessons learned into the wider team.
Strengthen defences - propose new detection rules, alerts, and analysis techniques to continually improve monitoring capability.
Protect data - support DLP processes and contribute to compliance tasks.
Record and report - document incidents, investigations, and outcomes with clarity and precision.
Stay ahead - keep up-to-date with the latest cyber threats, tactics, and emerging technologies.
Support operations - assist with configuration changes across firewalls, CASB, and other security tools, ensuring compliance with governance processes.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for professionals who combine technical know-how with proactive problem-solving and a collaborative mindset:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
Senior Analyst - 5+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
Lead Analyst - 7+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
Strong knowledge of core security principles, tools, and best practices.
Practical experience with monitoring and security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection).
Familiarity with incident response processes and playbooks.
Strong analytical mindset and a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
What Will Make You Stand Out
Experience with DLP solutions and data protection.
Knowledge of compliance standards and regulatory requirements.
Previous involvement in vulnerability remediation or infrastructure security hardening.
A proactive approach to automating detection, response, or workflow improvements.
Why This Role?
This is your chance to work in a global, enterprise-scale security environment where your skills won't just be tested - they'll be developed. Whether you join as a Senior Analyst ready to deepen your expertise or as a Lead Analyst looking to take ownership of complex incident handling, you'll be part of a team that values continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration.
You'll be given the autonomy to make an impact while being supported by a team of skilled professionals who share the same mission: to stay ahead of threats and protect what matters most.
