Quantity Surveyor (Railway Infrastructure Project)

MCS Group is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a Landmark Railway Infrastructure Project based in Dublin

MCS Group is proud to partner with a leading client on a once in a generation railway transformation project in Dublin. This programme will modernise and electrify Ireland's rail network, creating a faster, greener, and more reliable system for the future.

We're seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join this high-profile initiative, delivering exceptional value and commercial leadership across all stages of the project lifecycle.

In this role you will:

• Take ownership of contract and cost management from tender through completion
• Drive value for money, ensuring robust financial and commercial control
• Prepare and review cost plans, bills of quantities, and tender documentation
• Lead on change control, risk management, and cost reporting
• Collaborate closely with project management and engineering teams to ensure project success

This successful candidate will have:

• Degree-qualified Quantity Surveyor (or equivalent) and ideally MRICS / SCS Chartered
• Minimum 7+ years' experience managing major construction projects
• Strong knowledge of Public Works Contracts and dispute resolution processes
• Proven ability to lead negotiations, manage budgets, and deliver final accounts
• Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
• It would be desirable if you have Railway or large-scale infrastructure experience
