MCS Group is delighted to be working in partnership with one of Northern Irelands top FMCG companies, who are recruiting for a Category/Purchasing Manager to join their Procurement team based in Belfast.

You will;

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand category needs and ensure effective service delivery.
• Lead sourcing and tendering activities in line with company goals, legislation, and sustainability standards.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, overseeing performance, contracts, and dispute resolution.
• Drive procurement improvement initiatives for cost reduction, efficiency, and lead-time optimisation.
• Present strategies, market insights, and savings analyses to stakeholders.
• Promote lean practices to eliminate waste and boost efficiency.
• Conduct market intelligence, monitor trends, and manage supply chain risks with contingency planning.
• Assess current and potential suppliers to ensure quality, value, and reliability.
• Identify new markets, products, and processes to support innovation and sustainability.
• Champion sustainable and efficient solutions to reduce the companies carbon footprint.
