Programme Manager (Software)

MCS Group is seeking to connect with an ambitious Programme Manager with experience of managing software development projects for a key client of theirs. Well established in Belfast, this firm specialises in driving digital transformation for their customers (who sit across both public and private sectors) through innovative software solutions - operating on a global scale. The programme manager will join their business at an exciting time of expansion for the business locally and will have the opportunity to deliver projects for a massive customer base, hone their people management skills and afford the support of an expert senior leadership team.

What You'll Be Doing:

• The Programme Manager will lead the delivery of large-scale, software projects across geographically distributed teams.

• Driving programmes from inception to completion - managing scope, quality, time, and budget.

• You'll partner with engineering leads to estimate effort, define milestones, and remove blockers.

• You'll communicate effectively and regularly with senior stakeholders to keep delivery on track and transparent.

• You'll apply your knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and traditional project methodologies to get results.

What We're Looking For:

• A background in technical programme or project management, ideally with a focus or exposure to software delivery.

• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills - you're someone who can influence and drive alignment.

• Experience working with project management tools like DevOps, Jira, Trello, or MS Project.

• A solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, experience of interfacing into software development teams and delivering in Agile or hybrid environments.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

• Prince2 certifications would be highly advantageous.
