Procurement Advisor - Public Sector

MCS Group are working with a large public sector team in Lisburn as they look to add a Procurement Advisor to team on an initial 6 month temporary contract. This contract has a possibility of extension and chance to apply for a permanent role.

Key Details:

• 6 month temporary contract.

• £19.59 per hour.

• Hybrid/Flexible working.

• On-site parking.

The Role:

• Support the Procurement and Contracts Manager in delivering effective procurement and contract management services.

• Advise internal stakeholders on procurement legislation, tendering processes, quotations, and contract management.

• Manage day-to-day procurement activities while maintaining strong relationships with procurement bodies and centres of expertise.

• Ensure all tendering activities are well planned, compliant with public procurement regulations, and deliver value for money.

• Monitor supplier performance, analyse contract data, and contribute to supplier review meetings and reporting.

• Maintain accurate procurement records in accordance with GDPR and provide data for audits, FOI requests, and statutory returns.

• Support the improvement of e-procurement systems, provide training to staff, and deputise for the Procurement and Contracts Manager as needed.

The Person:

• A degree and experience in a procurement environment.

• Possess a full, current UK driving licence or have access to a form of transport which enables them to fulfil the full requirements of the job.
