Platform Engineer

MCS Group are proud to be partnered with an exciting fintech software house new to Northern Ireland to recruit for a Platform Engineer join their expanding team in Belfast on a hybrid working basis.

The successful candidate will be joining a well funded FDI in Belfast with lots of scope for progression and active encouragement towards the next stages in your career. Our client has an impressive portfolio of clients across the USA and employees over 500 staff across their global teams. They have developed an impressive platform within the crypto space which is supported by highly talented technical teams.

An an experienced Platform engineer with a strong background in devOps tooling and SRE principles to work closely with development teams across product releases ensuring best practices. You will work closely with the lead global platform engineering team and be responsible for optimising infrastructure.

The Role

• Participate in project releases and be responsible for implementing ci/cd pipelines
• Be responsible for cloud infrastructure within a GCP environment ensuring scailability and reliability.
• USE Iac technologies such as terraform to automate
• Enjoy autonomy and ownership when it comes to decision-making and overall direction of platform engineering
• Full job spec on request

Your background

• Strong background in a similar role
• Experience with cloud platforms ideally GCP or (AWS / Azure)
• Ideally have experience with containerisation including Kubernetes or docker
• You will be proficient in terraform
• Experience of SDLC
