MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a QA Pharmacist (Band 6) on behalf of a leading health care organisation.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled regional team ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of medicines used across hospital pharmaceutical services in Northern Ireland.
The Role:
Working as part of a multidisciplinary Quality Assurance team, the QA Pharmacist will support the delivery of high-quality testing, auditing, and control systems for medicinal products and related materials, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
- Assess microbiological and analytical data to ensure aseptic and manufacturing units meet quality and GMP standards.
- Act as a releasing officer for overlabelled and repackaged products produced by regional manufacturing units.
- Support investigations into defective or recalled products and contribute to quality risk assessments.
- Assist in maintaining the Pharmaceutical Quality System (PQS) and implementing audit and inspection action plans.
- Deliver training to pharmacy and technical staff on quality assurance and control procedures.
- Contribute to the development, review, and improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and QA documentation.
The Person:
- MPharm (or equivalent qualification).
- Experience in pharmaceutical quality assurance, production, or a related field.
