HR Business Partner - Multi-national Manufacturing Group - County Down (Multi-site)

MCS Group is proud to be partnering with a market-leading multinational manufacturing organisation based in County Down, as they seek to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner on a full-time, permanent basis. Operating across multiple sites, this role is central to delivering the organisation's ambitious growth plans, driving talent strategy, and embedding a strong, inclusive culture in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly successful, forward-thinking business that has made significant investments in its production infrastructure, career progression pathways, and people development strategy-with a clear focus on supporting STEM roles, innovation, and long-term succession planning.

The Role

As HR Business Partner, you will be a trusted and visible partner to senior leaders, proactively supporting all aspects of the people strategy across multiple sites. You will provide expert guidance across a broad generalist remit-including employee relations, organisational change, talent development, and engagement initiatives-while contributing directly to the organisation's People & Culture Plan.

You'll be at the forefront of aligning culture with strategic goals, coaching leaders to manage with empathy and inclusion, and supporting the growth of a high-performance, values-led workplace. You'll work closely with the Head of HR and Talent on inclusive hiring, onboarding, and the implementation of thoughtful succession planning and development frameworks. Additionally, you'll collaborate on learning and development initiatives that build leadership capability and address future skills gaps across technical and specialist functions, including STEM.

You'll also help shape performance and engagement programmes, embedding a culture where employees feel valued, recognised, and supported to do their best work. From shaping local wellbeing and DEI strategies to contributing to wider strategic projects and operational excellence, this role offers outstanding variety and impact.

The Person

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, commercially focused HR professional with:

  • Strong HR generalist experience, ideally within a multi-functional, multi-site manufacturing or global environment
  • Proven track record managing complex employee relations, including restructuring and redundancies
  • Experience supporting commercial teams or specialist STEM functions would be highly desirable
  • Deep understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • The credibility and confidence to influence senior stakeholders
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting innovative HR practices
  • A natural coach with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • A passion for people development, inclusivity, and creating empowering work environments

Desirable but not essential:

  • Level 7 CIPD qualification
  • Experience working with Trade Unions
  • Strong technical HR systems skills, including exposure to AI-enabled tools

What's on Offer?

  • Highly competitive salary + excellent benefits
  • Bonus
  • Excellent holiday allowance
  • Hybrid working
  • Private healthcare
  • The opportunity to shape people strategy in a large, forward-thinking manufacturing business
  • Involvement in career-defining talent, culture, and innovation projects
  • A collaborative and inclusive working environment where people are at the heart of everything
