The Role

The Pensions Administration Change Project Manager will play a key role in leading complex initiatives and driving operational improvements. This is a high-impact position requiring exceptional project management skills and a deep understanding of UK Defined Benefit Pensions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading complex pensions administration change initiatives.
  • Managing cross-functional de-risking projects, including buy-outs and buy-ins.
  • Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Overseeing transformation, installation, and solutions implementation.
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance and governance frameworks are adhered to.
  • Utilising data and management information (MI) to strengthen decision-making.
  • Providing technical advice and embedding processes into business-as-usual (BAU) operations.

The Person

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, detail-oriented professional with a passion for driving change. They will thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments and have a strong track record in pensions administration and de-risking projects.

Essential:

  • Experience in UK Defined Benefit Pensions.
  • Proven de-risking experience (buy-outs, buy-ins, liability management).
  • Strong project management track record (on time, within budget).
  • Experience in risk management and solutions implementation.

Desirable:

  • Prince 2 Certification.
  • Budget management and financial reporting experience.
  • Strong presentation skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
