Organisation Development Officer (Public Sector)

This role offers the opportunity to support organisational growth through effective learning, engagement, and internal communication initiatives, while contributing to talent development, employee well being, and continuous improvement.
The role:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement development initiatives that improve organisational structures, systems, and processes.
- Develop and deliver training and development programmes, ensuring ongoing learning and accreditation.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate staff training, including leadership development, compliance, and in-house learning initiatives.
- Manage talent development strategies, including workforce planning, succession planning, and appraisal coordination.
- Support employee engagement and wellbeing through events, surveys, internal campaigns, and recognition programmes.
- Coordinate internal communications across digital and traditional channels to enhance staff engagement and awareness.
- Ensure compliance with governance, reporting, and risk processes, while supporting leadership through delegated responsibilities.
The Person
As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:
Essential:
- A relevant qualification in a business related subject and Membership of the CIPD level 5
OR
- Extensive experience in the below and willingness to work towards a CIPD qualification
- Experience in an Organisational Development role to include experience of the following:
- Designing and delivering engagement and wellbeing initiatives to support change and improve organisational performance.
- Using learning and development methodologies, including eLearning and innovative practices.
