The in-house security team operates to recognised industry frameworks and standards, with a strong emphasis on proactive defence, secure configuration, and continuous improvement. You'll work alongside seasoned security, infrastructure, and compliance professionals-along with specialists who advise global clients on cybersecurity risk and incident response.
What You Will Do
Network Security Operations
Support the maintenance and secure configuration of firewalls and network security appliances.
Contribute to defining and implementing firewall rules, policies, and configurations.
Monitor key network security indicators to spot risks and potential compromises.
Carry out firmware upgrades and configuration changes with guidance from senior colleagues.
Play an active role in network security enhancement initiatives aligned to wider business objectives.
Security & Compliance
Work closely with Technology, IT, and Security teams to strengthen network infrastructure posture.
Assist with incident response activities involving network-layer security events.
Support audit, compliance, and client-related queries surrounding network security.
Documentation & Governance
Help develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, procedures, playbooks, and diagrams.
Ensure accurate records of changes, incidents, and configurations to support compliance requirements.
Development & Advocacy
Learn from senior security engineers and contribute to team knowledge-sharing.
Promote robust security practices and encourage risk awareness across the organisation.
Participate in training to enhance both technical and governance capabilities.
What You Will Bring
Strong experience in network security engineering or a related IT infrastructure/security role.
Practical knowledge of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, etc.
Hands-on experience with network monitoring and management tools.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
Desirable Skills
Degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a similar field.
Certifications such as CCNP, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or equivalent.
Experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 27001.
