Mechatronic Technician

MCS Group are proud to be partnered with an advanced manufacturing company to recruit a Mechatronic Technician for their Derry/ Londonderry site.

As a mechatronic technician, you will be responsible for the automation and machine build of bespoke equipment. You will complete tasks in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of automated systems and equipment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Aid in the building of machinery from the ground up.
• Perform preventative maintenance on mechatronic systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical and pneumatic issues.
• Wire control panels and commission system.
• Diagnose and resolve any issues with robotics and control systems,
• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Document maintenance and repair activities

Essential Criteria

• HNC/HND or degree level in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Previous experience in similar role
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with robotics and control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
