Mechanical Design Engineer

MCS Group is proud to be working with a leading manufacturing company based in Mid-Ulster to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer.

As a design engineer, you will develop ideas for new products and production systems. As well as improve the performance and efficiency of existing products.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Turn research ideas into detailed designs for production
• Re-engineering designs to make production more efficient and gain manufacturing time
• Write and present engineering reports on various areas of design.
• Produce production specifications and engineering drawings
• Develop knowledge of all legislations and apply these to designs
• Attend design review meetings
• Apply continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles

Essential Criteria

• Educated in Engineering or a related field
• Previous experience in design or product design
• Experience in the manufacturing industry (Ideally heavy engineering/machinery)
• Knowledge of CAD software (Autodesk)
• Right to work in Ireland/ UK
