About My Client

My client is a fast-growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) with ambitious plans. Unlike many MSPs, they are technically led, not sales-led - founded and run by engineers, not salespeople. Everything is kept in-house, from development to delivery, with a strong focus on providing SMEs with the technical expertise and service they need to thrive.

Since 2021, my client has tripled in size, supporting SMEs from 2-150 users across cloud, networking, security, and infrastructure. They are now building out their senior technical function and seeking a highly skilled Level 3 Technical Lead to act as the backbone of technical delivery and the go-to escalation point for the team.

The Opportunity

This role offers more than just another MSP support position. You will be:

• The go-to Level 3 escalation point for engineers and clients.

• Hands-on across Azure, SonicWall firewalls, Office 365, servers, and networking.

• A trusted technical advisor, working with sales colleagues on scoping and shaping solutions.

• Given the chance to grow into technical leadership, while staying close to the tech.

What You'll Do

• Act as L3 escalation for complex technical issues, freeing senior leadership

• Deliver client projects: Azure deployments, site-to-site VPNs, firewall configurations, Office 365 migrations, and hybrid cloud transitions.

• Work directly with SMEs as their single technical point of contact.

• Partner with sales and management on pre-sales and solution design.

• Mentor L2 engineers and support their development.

• Drive efficiency and best practice in a fast-moving environment.

What You'll Bring

• Strong MSP experience in Ireland (non negotiable) - ideally working with SMEs.

• Hands-on expertise in:

  • Azure (infrastructure, provisioning, VPNs)

  • SonicWall firewalls

  • Office 365 setup and migrations

  • Windows Server / Active Directory (on-prem + hybrid)

  • Networking (LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, Wi-Fi, VoIP)

• Strong client-facing and people skills - comfortable as the single point of contact.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced MSP environment.

Nice-to-Haves

• ITIL certification or mindset.

• Security+ / CISSP / CEH for cyber growth.

• PRINCE2 / PMP for project delivery.
