About My Client

My client is a fast-growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) with ambitious plans. Unlike many MSPs, they are technically led, not sales-led - founded and run by engineers, not salespeople. Everything is kept in-house, from development to delivery, with a strong focus on providing SMEs with the technical expertise and service they need to thrive.

Since 2021, my client has tripled in size, supporting SMEs from 2-150 users across cloud, networking, security, and infrastructure. They are now expanding their support function and seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to act as a trusted escalation point and deliver hands-on support and project work to clients.

The Opportunity

This role offers more than a typical MSP service desk position. You will be:

  • The go-to escalation point for support issues.

  • Hands-on across Microsoft 365, Azure, SonicWall firewalls, Windows Server, and networking.

  • Supporting clients both remotely and on-site.

  • Gaining exposure to projects such as cloud migrations, site-to-site VPNs, Intune rollouts, and SharePoint builds.

  • Working closely with senior engineers and management, with a clear pathway to develop into an L3 Engineer role.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver support across a wide range of SME clients.

  • Act as first point of escalation for L1/L2 engineers and directly with customers.

  • Manage service queues, troubleshooting and resolving issues quickly.

  • Support infrastructure projects: Azure compute builds, VPNs, firewall configs, Office 365 migrations.

  • Roll out Microsoft Intune, Defender, and SharePoint for end users.

  • Build strong relationships with clients, acting as their trusted technical contact.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years' MSP experience in Ireland

  • Hands-on expertise in:

    • Microsoft 365 (admin, migrations, troubleshooting).

    • Azure (VMs, VPNs, AD).

    • SonicWall firewalls (config, VPNs, troubleshooting).

    • Windows Server / Entra ID (on-prem + hybrid).

    • Networking (LAN/WAN, VLANs, Wi-Fi, routing).

  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced MSP environment.

Nice-to-Haves

  • ITIL Foundation v4.

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator (AZ-104).

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert.

  • CompTIA Security+ or CISSP.

  • CCNA.
