IT Support Engineer - Dublin (Hybrid / Field Role)
We are looking for an experienced and versatile IT Support Engineer to join a growing technology team supporting users across multiple sites in Dublin.
This is a hands-on role providing both remote and on-site technical support, with the opportunity to work on a wide range of systems and technologies in a fast-moving environment.
The Role
You'll be the go-to point of contact for end-user issues, ensuring a smooth and efficient IT experience for colleagues across the business.
Your week will typically combine helpdesk work, on-site visits to the warehouse, and hybrid collaboration days in the Dublin office.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1st and 2nd line support via phone, email, and remote tools.
Deliver on-site field support for hardware, networking, and application issues.
Troubleshoot laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
Support and administer Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows, and Active Directory.
Manage user onboarding and offboarding, permissions, and access requests.
Perform system checks, updates, and patch management.
Document incidents, resolutions, and configuration changes clearly.
Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or vendors when required.
Maintain excellent customer service and communication throughout all interactions.
About You
Minimum 2 years' experience in an IT support or field engineering role.
Confident troubleshooting hardware and software across desktop and mobile platforms.
Solid understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, and Windows OS.
Good grasp of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi).
Strong problem-solving and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
Capable of managing your own workload and working independently when on site.
Full Irish driving licence and access to transport (field travel required).
Desirable Skills
Experience with Zebra or Honeywell printers and barcode scanners.
Familiarity with FreshService or similar helpdesk systems.
Working knowledge of Intune, SQL, or API troubleshooting.
Awareness of ITIL principles or relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco).
Any exposure to ERP systems such as Infor M3 is an advantage.
