Job Description
MCS Group is currently working along side one of the largest manufacturing companies in Northern Ireland who are currently on the lookout for an IT Manager to take hold of the reigns, organise the team and manage the day to day running of the help desk function within the business.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the IT Service Desk, including communication, tools, and personnel.
- Ensure all issues are resolved within the agreed SLAs and escalate when necessary.
- Provide regular performance reports to the Group Service Delivery Manager to maintain service level standards.
- Monitor and improve team performance regarding SLAs and issue resolution.
- Proactively address potential issues and promptly resolve those that occur.
- Train helpdesk staff on operational procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
- Conduct training sessions on new hardware and software as needed.
- Analyse helpdesk data to identify patterns and recurring problems.
- Schedule Helpdesk staff to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
- Participate in business and IT projects as a Project Lead or team member.
Qualifications:
Essential
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in an IT supervisory or management role.
- Practical experience with factory hardware and software support, MS Windows, Active Directory, and MS Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience in team management.
Desirable
- Experience with IT software solutions in the food industry, such as Emydex, Innova, or Hellenic.
- Experience with LAN and WAN networking technologies.
Remuneration:
- Salary: DOE
- Monday - Friday
