MCS Group are delighted to be working with a market-leading IT solutions business for an internal sales representative, based in Greater Belfast. The company has experienced significant growth throughout the recent years and is well known for developing members of the team. The business is focused on sustainability and making a difference to the environment. Providing services to NI and beyond, the client is in the excellent position of adding to sales team. This is a newly created role designed to strengthen proactive business development, expand market reach, and support continued growth across large, complex organisations.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven ability and motivation to carry out purposeful outbound sales activity via phone, email, and direct outreach.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to grasp and explain moderately complex technical or service-based concepts.
  • Intellectually capable of understanding multi-stakeholder environments within large organisations.
  • Demonstrated "hunter" mindset with resilience, curiosity, and a proactive approach to lead generation.
  • Comfortable researching and qualifying prospects in a structured yet consultative manner.
  • Ability to adapt between compliance-focused processes and a relaxed, small-team culture.
  • Experience in sales, customer engagement, regulated environments, managed services, or compliance-led sectors is advantageous but not essential.
  • German language skills are a bonus but not required.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct proactive outbound outreach to generate and qualify new business leads across the UK, Ireland, and international markets.
  • Carry out detailed prospect research to identify opportunities within large organisations and map key decision-makers.
  • Initiate first-stage conversations before passing qualified leads to Business Development Managers for progression.
  • Build understanding of IT asset lifecycle processes, data security obligations, compliance requirements, and ESG-oriented service offerings.
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activity, research insights, and lead qualification.
  • Contribute to a small, collaborative sales team, balancing professionalism with a friendly, down-to-earth working style.
  • Support continuous refinement of sales processes and play a part in shaping the future structure of the business development function.
