The Role
The Interim Fund Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely preparation of financial reports and accounts for a portfolio of funds. Responsibilities include:
- Developing an understanding of fund structures, transactions, and reporting requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with current accounting standards (UK GAAP or IFRS).
- Establishing reporting procedures for new funds and entities.
- Supporting the administration team with accurate bookkeeping processes.
- Calculating Net Asset Values in line with fund-specific requirements.
- Liaising with clients, auditors, and professional advisers to meet reporting deadlines.
- Attending client meetings to discuss accounts and related matters.
- Ensuring regulatory and statutory reporting requirements are met.

Essential
- Recently qualified Accountant with solid technical accounting knowledge.
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Advanced Excel and strong IT skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professionalism and strong communication skills.
Desirable
- Experience in fund accounting or financial services.
- Familiarity with UK GAAP or IFRS accounting standards.
