Interim Financial Controller - Urgent Need - Carrickfergus - Hybrid

Specialist Fabrication/Manufacturing - Global Company

Minimum 3 months Contract

Salary £70k

The Role:

• Financial reporting of monthly results & updates of forecast.
• Manage A/R, AP, payroll, personnel data and other administrative functions.
• Review of financial data including analysis of key variances, identify problems and initiate corrective measures.
• Develop and maintain good internal controls. Review and control of department spending.
• Develop accounting procedures and policies include periodic review and analysis to improve efficiency and effectiveness of processes.
• Various other special projects, analysis.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Actively support the strategic goals of the company
• Ensure robust credit control processes and other working capital practices (creditors and inventory)
• Oversee all tax and regulatory compliance issues
• Prepare and submit information to statutory authorities including HMRC
• Liaise with external advisors on the preparation of statutory financial information
• Prepare Payroll figures and ensure proper disbursement of expenses
• Manage insurances
• On- going monitoring of cash flow and working capital
• Preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Management of the annual audit and liaison with company / external auditors
• Preparation of weekly and monthly reports in accordance with Company requirements
• Mentoring and development of direct report /s

The Person:

• Qualified Accountant -
• ACA / ACCA / CIMA or similar qualification
• 6+years post qualification experience
• Prior management or supervisory experience
• Preference - manufacturing experience
• Experience of MRP computer systems
• Strong communication skills with all levels of personnel
