A leading multi-national insurance and financial services firm with offices across Northern Ireland and ROI are now seeking to recruit an experienced In-House Loss Adjuster to be based in either their Belfast office or Dublin office.

This is a brand new, full-time permanent position offering hybrid working, genuine professional progression and excellent overall package.

The Company:

This is a globally renowned insurance and financial services company known for its provision of products across property insurance, casualty insurance, health insurance and more. This newly created role will join as part of the company's technical property team, working alongside property technicians and will be responsible for handling and settling property damage claims directly with policy holders.

The loss-adjusting specialism is amongst the newest teams in the company, and this newly created senior role will report directly to and work closely with the Head of Commercial Claims.

The Role:

As the successful In-House Loss Adjuster, you will play a key role in:

• Delivering effective loss adjusting solutions for property customers
• Overseeing the management and governance of claims, ensuring adherence to company standards and legal and regulatory requirements
• Managing a portfolio of claims in designated location (NI or ROI) - attending site inspections, meeting stakeholders and policy holders, brokers, solicitors
• Conducting on-site inspections to evidence damage and cause - taking statements as necessary
• Providing general loss adjusting advice and guidance or large/major claims
  

The Person:

The successful In-House Loss Adjuster will meet the following criteria:

• Demonstrable experience in adjusting - large loss / major loss and / or complex claims handling
• Dip CII or CIP qualification
• Proven technical claims professional background - strong working knowledge of claims regulatory and legislative environment
• Excellent negotiation skills
