Our client is seeking an experienced Identity & Access Management (IAM) Manager to lead and shape the future of their global IAM function. This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact role where you'll define strategy, manage risk, and drive operational excellence within a world-class professional services environment.
At its core, this role is about trust. With sensitive data at the heart of everything our client does, identity and access controls are fundamental to protecting both the firm and its clients. You'll be joining a security function that enjoys full Board-level support, operates against globally recognised frameworks (NIST, ISO27001, SOC2), and is continually evolving to meet an ever-changing threat landscape.
What You'll Be Doing
This isn't just about keeping the lights on - it's about driving a modern, efficient, and resilient IAM operation. You'll:
Lead with vision - set the strategy for IAM governance and inspire a team of Managers and Analysts to deliver against it.
Own operations - oversee provisioning, privileged access, certification, and RBAC frameworks, ensuring they're not just compliant but streamlined and scalable.
Balance risk and agility - embed robust controls, conduct risk assessments, and respond effectively to audits while enabling the business to move quickly and securely.
Collaborate widely - partner with architects, engineers, compliance experts, and stakeholders across the globe to ensure IAM supports business goals.
Drive innovation - introduce automation, self-service, and smarter workflows to make access management a seamless experience for users.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone with both strategic vision and hands-on expertise. You'll have:
Significant experience leading IAM teams in complex, enterprise-scale environments.
In-depth knowledge of IAM concepts: RBAC, PAM, conditional access, provisioning, and entitlement frameworks.
Practical experience with enterprise IAM platforms (e.g. Microsoft Entra ID, CyberArk).
Strong grasp of compliance and risk frameworks (ISO27001, NIST), with a track record of audit readiness.
A recognised industry certification (CISSP, CISM, CISA or equivalent).
Excellent leadership and communication skills - able to inspire a team and influence at senior level.
Nice to Have
Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related discipline.
Professional services or legal sector experience.
Familiarity with automation/scripting (PowerShell, Python) and hybrid/cloud IAM solutions.
Experience leading IAM projects and delivering training or awareness programmes.
Why This Role?
This is more than an operational management role - it's a chance to shape the future of IAM in a global firm where security is truly valued. You'll gain exposure to one of the most forward-thinking Information Security teams in the sector, collaborate with cyber lawyers who advise clients on real-world incidents, and help influence how a global business protects its most valuable assets.
If you're passionate about security, motivated by leadership, and ready to leave your mark on a critical function, this is your opportunity.
