HSEQ Advisor

MCS Group is proud to be working with a leading local M&E contractor, to recruit a HSEQ Advisor to join their team on a permanent contract.

• Travel will be predominantly to sites across NI, with very little travel to UK Mainland

The HSEQ Officer will support the development of a strategy to shape the HSEQ and Continuous Improvement functions for the company.

You will;

• Develop a strong working relationship with all levels of employees and promote a culture of engagement, understanding and compliance for all HSEQ policies and procedures.
• Monitor, review, improve and amend the Integrated Management System to ensure continual improvement and compliance.
• Develop further HSEQ initiatives and continual improvements
• Complete compliant management system audits and inspections and manage a programme of corrective/preventative actions for continuous improvement, ensuring the highest standards in technical competence and safe working practices.
• Manage the completion of ISO9001 / ISO14001 / ISO45001 internal audits and providing effective solutions to support compliance regarding all external audits.
• Ensure the preparation of the Contract Health and Safety Plans
• Perform site visits to ensure all necessary safety equipment / Documentation is available

Skills and Qualifications:

• 2+ years' experience in operational management or safety, health, and environment leadership
• NEBOSH general certification
• Previous experience of producing internal audits to comply with and 45001
