HR Officer - Waterford - Permanent

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with an award-winning organisation as they look to add an HR Officer to their team, in this full-time, permanent opportunity.

The role:

You will act as a trusted partner to employees, delivering high-quality HR support across the full employee lifecycle. You'll champion employee engagement, uphold HR best practice, and ensure the site operates in line with all employment legislation and internal policies.

The main responsibilities:

• Deliver training and support ongoing colleague development.
• Provide coaching, constructive feedback, and guidance to colleagues and management.
• Maintain a positive working environment and promote a strong customer-focused culture.
• Lead regular communication briefings in line with company strategy.
• Manage absence, timekeeping, grievance, disciplinary matters, and employee relations issues.
• Ensure compliance with all HR policies and relevant employment legislation.
• Oversee and complete weekly payroll processes for the site.
• Work closely with central HR teams on procedural matters and policy implementation.
• Drive high levels of employee engagement and consistency across the branch.

The ideal candidate:

• Similar HR Generalist experience.
• Strong working knowledge of current ROI employment legislation.
• CIPD qualification (or working towards) is desirable.
• Proven experience implementing HR policies and managing recruitment, absence, and employee relations in an ROI organisation.
