HR Generalist - Permanent - County Louth

MCS Group is delighted to partner with a growing organisation, as they look to add an HR Generalist to their team, on a full-time, permanent basis.

The role:

You will provide dedicated site HR support to the site and its management team covering the full HR remit. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow and develop through dedicated site experience as well as multi-site cross-function project work.

The successful candidate must have strong practical experience and knowledge of Irish Employment Law.

This role is perfect for someone keen to get involved in HR projects and change management initiatives.

The main responsibilities:

• Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Provide HR advice, guidance and best practices in line with employment legislation.
• Collaborate with management to address employee relations issues, mediate conflicts, and implement appropriate solutions.
• Administering recruitment processes, including advertising, liaising with agencies where appropriate along with scheduling and supporting interviews as required.
• Provide support for the whole employee lifecycle, for example, onboardings, changes, and terminations.
• Management of sickness absence and attrition reporting and supporting the departments with reducing their overall sickness absence levels and increasing retention.
• Manage the on-the-job training and pursue multiskilling across the site.
• Delivery of employee wellbeing initiatives.
• Support change management initiatives within the organisation.

The ideal candidate:

• Minimum of 2 years previous experience at HR Officer level.
• 3rd Level HR Qualification or in a related discipline.
• Manufacturing/Engineering experience (desirable).
• Strong IT skills, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be required to travel to other sites, so a current and valid driving license is essential.
